Pablo Isla was elected to Nestlé’s Board of Directors in 2018 and became its Lead Independent Director and Vice Chairman in 2024. He took over as Chair in October 2025.

Pablo previously served as CEO of Inditex S.A. from 2005 to 2011 and then as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from 2011 to 2022. Prior to Inditex, Pablo also worked at Altadis, where he was Co-Executive Chairman, and at Banco Popular, where he held various senior positions, including General Secretary & Executive Member and Group General Counsel.

Pablo holds a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain.
During his tenure at Inditex, Pablo was recognized as the best-performing CEO in the world two consecutive years by the Harvard Business Review. He is known for his strategic vision and his hands-on approach.
