Speeches by ERT Chair & Secretary General at Forum Europa
Brussels, 22 September 2026: In their speeches at the Forum Europa in Brussels this morning, ERT Secretary General Anthony Gooch Galvez and ERT Chair Sir Jonathan Symonds shared ERT’s backstory and track record as a valued interlocteur and its priorities for the next two years.
Sir Jonathan laid out how Europe doesn’t have an ideas problem. It has a delivery problem. Outlining the three pillars of his vision for ERT’s work in the coming 2 years, he urged national governments across the EU-27 to finish the Single Market, strengthen competitiveness and turn strategy into action, to renew the investment case for Europe.
