ERT’s submission to the EC public consultation on the EU Merger Guidelines

ERT has submitted its contribution to the European Commission’s public consultation on the EU Merger Guidelines. In our response, we call for a more holistic and forward-looking approach to merger control, ensuring that EU policy supports competitiveness, innovation, sustainability, and resilience.

ERT also advocates for clearer and more balanced rules on efficiencies and remedies, to better reflect today’s economic realities. We look forward to continued dialogue with the Commission to help shape a modern, effective merger control regime for Europe.
