ERT welcomes the Conclusion of the EU-India Free Trade Agreement

Brussels, 27 January 2026: The European Round Table for Industry (ERT) welcomes the conclusion of the EU India Free Trade Agreement. This milestone sends a positive signal that the EU and India are committed to open, rules based trade at a moment of profound global change.

The agreement will improve access to a fast growing market of 2 billion people and reduce long standing barriers that have limited opportunities for European companies. ERT now encourages both sides to move swiftly toward ratification and practical implementation so that businesses can fully benefit from this important agreement.
