Peter Wennink is Chair of the Supervisory Board of Heineken N.V. since 2025.

Peter has built a distinguished career in finance and executive leadership, with extensive experience in the global high-technology sector. He began his professional career at Deloitte, where he spent over two decades in audit and consulting, including five years as a partner in the Amsterdam office, specialising in the high-technology industry.

In 1999, Peter joined ASML Holding N.V. as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and became a member of the Board of Management. In 2013, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, a position he held until 2024, during which time he led the company through a period of significant growth and reinforced its position as a global leader in the semiconductor industry.

In addition to his executive career, Peter has held numerous supervisory and advisory roles. He holds positions on the Supervisory Board of VDL. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eindhoven University of Technology and chairs the Eindhovense Manufacturing Circle. Furthermore, he serves as Vice Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Dutch National Growth Fund and acts as Special Advisor to the Dutch Government on Investments and Innovation.

He has contributed extensively to industry and policy through his involvement with organisations such as FME and the European Round Table for Industry.

Peter is also an investor in deep tech startups.

Peter is married and has two children.
