Dr. Roland Busch is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens AG, having assumed this role on February 4, 2021. Prior to becoming CEO, he held various leadership positions at Siemens since 2008, including Deputy CEO, Labor Director, and overseeing the company’s Digital Industries, Smart Infrastructure, and Mobility businesses.

Dr. Busch has an extensive educational and professional background. He studied physics at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, and the University of Grenoble, France, earning a Dipl.-Phys. and Dr. rer. nat. degrees.

Throughout his career at Siemens, Dr. Busch has held a number of key roles, including Head of Corporate Strategies and Development, Head of the Mass Transit Division, President and CEO of Siemens VDO Automotive Asia Pacific, and serving as Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Sustainability Officer.

In addition to his executive responsibilities at Siemens, Dr. Busch holds several board and committee positions, including:
