Benoit Bazin has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain since June 6, 2024.

He began his career within the French Ministry of Finance, spending four years at the Committee for Industrial Restructuring and at the Treasury Department.

Benoit Bazin joined Saint-Gobain in 1999. He held various positions, including Head of Strategy from 2000 to 2002 and then General Manager for High Performance Materials in the United States until 2005, before taking the Chief Financial Officer role of Saint-Gobain between 2005 and 2009. From 2009 to 2015, Benoit Bazin headed the Building Distribution Sector. In 2010, he was named Senior Vice President of Saint-Gobain. From 2016 to 2018, Benoit Bazin headed the Construction Products Sector, including in 2017 President and CEO of CertainTeed in the United States. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Saint-Gobain on January 1, 2019, and elected to the Board on June 3, 2021. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Gobain as from July 1, 2021, and then Chairman and Chief Executive Officer on June 6, 2024.

Benoit Bazin has been a Director at Vinci since June 18, 2020, and is, as such, Chairman of the Strategy and CSR Committee and member of the Nomination and Governance Committee. He was also a Director at Essilor and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee between 2009 and 2017, chairing the Audit Committee from May 2016 to March 2017.

A Graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and Civil Engineer of the French Corps des Ponts et Chaussées, Benoit Bazin also holds a Master of Science from MIT (USA) and a degree in Economics from Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Paris).

Benoit Bazin was named Knight of the French Legion of Honor in 2022 and Knight of the Ordre National Order of Merit in 2011.
